Coffee table from the Eros collection, designed by Angelo Mangiarotti and manufactured by Skipper in Italy circa 1975.
Entirely made of Emperador marble, the table consists of a thick, organically shaped top reminiscent of a leaf, with a circular opening into which the truncated-conical base is inserted. This interlocking construction, requiring no mechanical fastenings, is characteristic of the Eros collection and makes direct use of the weight and structural properties of stone.
