Fossil stone coffee table produced by Collection Fossile in Suisse circa 1980.

The rectangular top with rounded corners features a richly textured surface incorporating visible marine fossils, including sea snails and ancient cephalopod fragments dating approximately from 340 to 480 million years ago. The polished stone highlights the organic and mineral structure of these natural inclusions, creating a unique, non-repeatable pattern.

The piece stands on four solid hackberry wood clamp-style legs, whose simple and stable construction contrasts with the graphic density of the top. The combination of primordial mineral material and solid wood gives the table a strong sculptural presence, positioned between functional furniture and collectible design object.
