Designer

Hallway set designed by Pierre Guariche in the late 1960s as part of his interiors for mountain resort apartments.

Conceived as a compact wall-mounted system, the ensemble comprises a shelf with a small catch-all tray, a coat rack with four hooks, a stool and a wall light with two adjustable spotlights. Dark wood, plywood and white laminate create a visual continuity between the different elements and echo the materials used by Guariche throughout the interior.

Designed to occupy minimal space, the ensemble combines the essential functions of an entrance hall within a single composition: a place for everyday objects, coat hanging and lighting.

Provenance: apartment at La Mongie - Tourmalet ski resort, furnished by Pierre Guariche.

Manufacturer: Negroni, circa 1968.

Bibliography: Delphine Jacob, Lionel Blaisse, Pierre Guariche, Éditions Norma, pp. 200-219.
