Designer

Double bed designed by Pierre Guariche in the late 1960s as part of the furniture developed for apartments at the La Plagne ski resort.

Designed for a 140 cm wide mattress, the bed is made of plywood and white laminate, contrasted by exposed wood edges and elements. It is completed by two panels forming the headboard and two bedside units, creating a compact ensemble characteristic of Guariche's solutions for optimizing space in mountain apartments.

This bed complements the bunk-bed system also designed by Guariche. It can be positioned partially beneath the bunk bed to form a daybed, allowing the room to be arranged in different configurations.

Provenance: apartment at La Mongie - Tourmalet ski resort, furnished by Pierre Guariche.

Manufacturer: Negroni, circa 1968.
