Maison Charles Table Lamp, France, circa 1970

REF: 8151

Table lamp produced by Maison Charles in France around 1970.

This sculptural composition combines a white lacquered cubic base with a bouquet of elongated gilt bronze leaves, whose open forms create a subtle interplay of light and shadow. The rectangular fabric shade reinforces the vertical silhouette while enhancing the lamp's decorative presence.

Renowned for its botanical-inspired creations, Maison Charles developed a distinctive decorative language from the 1950s onward, combining finely worked bronze and brass with elegant natural forms. Today, these lighting pieces are regarded as icons of twentieth-century French decorative design.
