Designer
Pair of cantilever armchairs designed and produced by Matteo Grassi in Italy around 1970.
Each armchair is based on a chromed tubular steel cantilever structure, drawn in a continuous line, giving the set a light appearance and natural flexibility when seated. The seat, backrest and armrests are made of thick black leather, stretched and assembled with saddle stitching.
The armchairs are marked "Matteo Grassi" on the back.
The set shows signs of use, with some openings along the stitching and areas of leather loss, consistent with the age and use of the pieces.
